Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions of booking have been kept as short and simple as possible. please take time to read and understand them.

DEFINITIONS

  • "Dointhedo" - Dointhedo Boat Hire Limited
  • "Customer" - The person, Group of Persons, company or organisation booking a trip
  • "Fee" - The cost of the trip and any items such as Bait, Rod Hire as agreed between Dointhedo and the Customer
  1. BOOKING AND DEPOSIT
    1. Bookings will remain provisional until Dointhedo receives:
      A: Deposit of £250 per full boat hire. (Organisation/Group/Company)
      B: Deposit of £30 Per Person For Individual Places
    2. A: The Customer has supplied Contact Number, Address, Email Address
    3. B: Until the customer receives Confirmation (By Email) from DOINTHEDO
    4. The Customer agrees to be bound by all and any stipulations made by Dointhedo.
  2. FULL AND FINAL PAYMENT
    1. The remainder of any fees due must be paid in full on the day in cash. No Cheques, No Credit Cards, and strictly no IOUs. Please ENSURE you have means of payment before boarding the boat.
  3. CANCELLATION BY CUSTOMER
    1. MINIMUM of 4 weeks cancellation notice is required from the customer. This will result in any deposit less 5% handling fee returned.
    2. Less than 4 weeks but more than 2 weeks notice will result in any deposit fee paid being forfeited.
    3. Less than 2 weeks' notice will result in the full fee becoming due.
    4. Any necessity or request to return to port early on the day of the trip either being made by the customer, or the skipper, will result in full fee being due.
  4. CANCELLATION BY DOINTHEDO
    1. If the trip is cancelled by DOINTHEDO due to weather conditions, Sickness, Mechanical Issues or unforeseen circumstances, then every effort will be made with the customer to offer a suitable replacement day. If this cannot be agreed, then any Fees, Deposit paid will be returned less 5% handling charge.
    2. DOINTHEDO will not be held responsible nor liable for any costs, fees or consequential loss incurred by the Customer in the event a trip is cancelled at DOINTHEDO request.
    3. Any refunds due to the Customer will be paid within 28 days.
  5. WEATHER AND CONDITIONS
    1. It is the Customer's responsibility to contact the Skipper on the evening prior to the trip, to ensure the prevailing conditions are satisfactory for the trip to go ahead.
    2. Safety is paramount, and any decision made by DOINTHEDO is final.
    3. Adverse weather conditions may result in a change to itinerary and will be made by DOINTHEDO and will be final. (Example: Wreck trip becoming an Inshore Trip)
    4. DOINTHEDO will always attempt to provide a satisfactory replacement offering in the event of bad weather.
  6. ALCOHOL, DRUGS and SMOKING
    1. Insurance requirements mean that only a small quantity of low strength alcohol will be allowed on board.
    2. More than 2 tins per customer will be required to be left ashore.
    3. If the skipper deems a customer to have had excessive alcohol then the trip will be immediately cancelled and return to port with the full fee becoming due. The Skippers decision is final and binding. No discussion will be entered into.
    4. The use of illegal Drugs is strictly prohibited. Drug abuse will result in the immediate cancellation of the trip and return to port. The skipper decision will be final and binding and DOINTHEDO reserve the right to notify the relevant authorities if deemed necessary.
    5. Smoking will be allowed at the discretion of the skipper. Full consideration will be given to the Non-smokers onboard. Nonetheless, smoking will be prohibited in the cabin or undercover. The skipper's decision is Final and Binding and no discussion will be entered into.
  7. SAFETY
    1. Any Medical conditions MUST be notified to DOINTHEDO at time of booking. This must include any medication taken, and any special medical requirements.
    2. It is the responsibility of customers to notify the Skipper immediately if they or anyone else is feeling unwell. This includes Sea Sickness.
    3. Customers are to remain seated at all times during transit.
    4. Tomfoolery and instances considered by the skipper to present danger will result in the immediate cancellation of the trip and a return to port. All fees will become due.
    5. DOINTHEDO accept no responsibility for injury, loss of life, or loss of enjoyment.
    6. DOINTHEDO recommends that all customers wear a lifejacket at all times when in the marina and onboard the vessel.
  8. PERSONAL BELONGINGS AND HIRE EQUIPMENT
    1. DOINTHEDO accept no responsibility for any loss or damage to customer equipment.
    2. DOINTHEDO provide items such as rod holders but accept no responsibility for the failure of these which may result in the loss or damage to customer equipment.
    3. Rod/Reel hire is available and is subject to a hire charge. Any loss or damage to any supplied hire equipment must be paid for on a new for like basis.
    4. Any damage incurred to the vessel or its operating equipment must be paid for on a new for like basis.
  9. KEEPING THE CATCH
    1. Customers may keep their catch excluding any fish which are restricted from landing by the Fisheries Commission.
    2. Customers may keep their catch ss long as the minimum sizes set down by DEFRA are met.
    3. Fish must not be sold for monetary gain.
    4. The skipper and crew of DOINTHEDO discharge all responsibility of ensuring customers comply with these requirements. If any clauses, rules or regulations surrounding catches are suspect, then DOINTHEDO reserves the right to inform the relevant authorities.
  10. SUPPLEMENTAL
    1. DOINTHEDO, its Skipper and crew are licensed to operate as required by the MCA .
    2. DOINTHEDO maintains the required level of safety aids and devices as required by the MCA.
    3. DOINTHEDO maintains a level of Public Liability Insurance above the minimum legal requirements.
    4. These Terms and Conditions of Booking shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
    5. If any clause or identifiable part thereof is held to be unenforceable by any court of competent jurisdiction then such enforceability shall not affect the enforceability of the remaining provisions or identifiable parts thereof in these Terms and Conditions of Booking.
